Our tiki mascot in sticker form

We wanted to see what “Kaimana” our mascot would look like in sticker form. He came out pretty nice. A friend loved it and we applied it to his car. He even wanted our site URL put on, of course we obliged. I think we’ll increase the size a bit for future runs to really show the details.

Had a chance to work on the tiki again today. Started on the teeth, pretty slow going as the edge detail between teeth is intricate.

Tiki in 3D Pt-02

Made good progress in the 1st post building a good portion of the tiki head.   Detailing the eyes consisted of extruding and vertex adjustment.  I mentioned in the last post the sequence of modeling: jaws, eyes then teeth.   The jaws and eyes are basically done and im still building and tweaking the areas around them,  but without teeth it  does not look right.  For now, I’ve added a set of false teeth, just to make sure its headed in the right direction. Added a wireframe image.

Tiki in 3D Pt-01

Had the thought the other day of  taking the our tiki mascot and creating if in 3D.  Having a mesh can come in handy.  This is update 1 – the basic sculpting and modeling.

The beginning is pretty straight forward. Three prominent features of the tiki stand out: the jaw, eyes, and teeth. Modeling will follow that order.
